Columbian Rainbow Boa (Epicrates cenchria maurus) Zoology

Columbian Rainbow Boa Description:

The Columbian rainbow boas (Epicrates cenchria maurus), are a group of ruset to brown snakes with indistinct dorsal and lateral ocelli (spots) bordered by light crescents. Neonates are more brightly coloured than adults, which usually appear to be unicoloured. The scales are smooth and iridescent with a light purple to blue shining.
